Penallt sits high above the Wye, in old woodland and orchard. The bees here reach lime blossom, sweet chestnut and wild cherry the lower ground never gets — and it shows in the jar. This is our smallest batch, and the first to sell out.
High on the Wye’s edge — barely five miles from Raglan, and a completely different honey.
Where Raglan is soft and meadow-clean, Penallt comes out darker and more aromatic — lime blossom gives it a green, almost citrus lift that catches people off guard.
It tastes almost tropical next to the others — I didn’t know honey could do that.
